Smart Eye, the global leader in AI-based driver monitoring technology, and Ottawa Infotainment, known for their cutting-edge automotive infotainment and in-vehicle cockpit solutions, are excited to announce a groundbreaking collaboration set to debut at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The partnership will highlight an advanced, fully integrated in-cabin Driver Monitoring System (DMS), merging Ottawa Infotainment’s robust domain controller technology with Smart Eye’s state-of-the-art Driver Monitoring System, showcased in Ottawa Infotainment’s West Hall booth #6374.
Through this collaboration, the companies aim to demonstrate the future of in-cabin monitoring technology, combining seamless hardware integration and leading AI-driven monitoring to create an optimal driving experience. Ottawa Infotainment’s DragonFire Domain Control Unit (DCU) provides a high-performance, customizable platform designed for in-vehicle infotainment, vehicle control, and instrument clusters. Known for its flexibility, the DCU serves as a central hub that enhances the integration of Smart Eye’s DMS, allowing automotive OEMs to easily adopt and scale driver monitoring capabilities in their vehicles.
“CES is the ideal stage to showcase the powerful combination of Ottawa Infotainment’s cockpit solutions and Smart Eye’s DMS,” said Carl Bergendal, Sales Director of AIS at Smart Eye. “With increasing regulatory focus on driver attention, especially in light of recently updatedthe Euro NCAP standards, our collaboration will highlight a solution that not only addresses these safety requirements but also enhances the driver experience.”
The joint demo will offer a hands-on, interactive experience, giving visitors the chance to see Smart Eye’s DMS in action within Ottawa Infotainment’s demo cockpit setup. The booth layout will resemble a design studio, showcasing the evolution of an in-cabin solution from prototype to full production, while highlighting the streamlined process of adding DMS technology to Ottawa Infotainment’s versatile system.
“Our goal has always been to provide automotive OEMs with a complete, flexible cockpit solution,” said Sean Hazaray, CEO of Ottawa Infotainment. “By partnering with Smart Eye, we’re integrating a best-in-class driver monitoring system that seamlessly fits into our Dragon Fire controller, making it simple for OEMs to adopt this technology into their designs.”
